154th Northern Maine Fair

     Fair officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 25, to mark the official opening of the 154th annual Northern Maine Fair. Dozens gathered for the event, as balloons were released into a bright blue sky. Pictured with the ribbon, in front, from left, are members of the Northern Maine Fair Association Board of Directors: Ed Nickerson, Andy LeBlanc, President Lynwood Winslow, Galen Flewelling and Duane Walton. Joining the lineup was Junior Miss Potato Blossom 2008 Michaela Powers. A number of activities have already taken place, including horse shows, the Demolition Derby, musical presentations, the Car Show, with more events scheduled through Aug. 2.
