Cute reigns supreme at Sparkler, Firecracker pageants

    The Little Miss/Mr. Sparkler and Little Miss/Mr. Firecracker pageants were held July 3 at the John Millar Civic Center in Houlton.
    Mr. Sparkler of all of Southern Aroostook, Chandler Hetherington, wears the crown and reaches for the trophy … or was it Mom?
    Results were as follows:
Little Miss Sparkler (Birth to age 2) — First place, Aireanna Tateanna Tompkins, daughter of Ashley Tompkins; second place, Gabrielle Cirulli, daughter of Joe and Karen Cirilli; and third place, Maddison Marie Shields, daughter of Rick and Jill Shields.
