Once again the Northern Penobscot Pullers Association entertained the fans at the Houlton State Agricultural Fair. Behind the scenes on July 2 into the dark hours of the night, volunteers from the club worked hard to get the track ready. This involved the use of some heavy equipment such as harrows, rollers and trucks generously donated by some members of the pulling club and much muscle and elbow grease.
Despite the threat of rain and some strong winds on the day of the pulls all started on time. The diligent pullers showed their talents and abilities all evening and into the dark.
