    BRIDGEWATER – Lois E. (Morse-Shaw) Antworth, 83, graduated to glory on July 8, 2008. She was born in Bridgewater on April 4, 1925, the daughter of Joshua and Etta (Sharp) Morse. Image
    She was a very loving mother and grandmother, received her nurse’s aid certification at the age of 54, and worked at Madigan Estates in Houlton. She spent over 40 years as a Sunday School teacher and dedicated ministry member of the Full Gospel Assembly. Lois spent nearly a decade as a jail ministry member and women’s speaker in Putnam County, FL. Lois’s excellent spirit, ready smile and generous heart were particularly mentioned by her caregiver Rose Clark, and the nurses of Hospice of Aroostook.
    She is survived by her husband, Herbert Antworth; a son, Brian Shaw;  three daughters, Rebecca Shaw, Deborah Mason, and Valerie Giberson; grandchildren, Michael and Monica Shaw, Stacy Hix, Troy and Mark Whidtfeldt, Electa Mason, Christine Barker, and Lisa Breen; six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and step-children Roger Antworth, Sharon Miskin and Debbie Harris; her siblings are Leota Roberts and Merlin Morse; multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. Her son James T. Shaw predeceased her.
    Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Full Gospel Assembly in Bridgewater with Rev. Robert Amuzini and Rev. Gerald Drost officiating. Relatives and friends  called noon until time of service at the church on Saturday. Interment was in Smith Cemetery, Bridgewater. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
