 Image   Caribou and Washburn – Ada Lou Waller, 60, after having lived life to the fullest, and finding the strength, courage and humor to live each day with cancer, died July 12, 2008, at Presque Isle following a courageous battle. She was born in Caribou November 24, 1947 the daughter of Carl and Genevieve (Sennett) Larsen. Ada was a graduate of Washburn High School. Over the years, she was employed as a certified nurse aid and medical technician at the Maine Veterans Home, Caribou, Caribou Nursing Home as well as Leisure Gardens in Presque Isle.
    Surviving in addition to her husband of 18 years David Waller of Caribou and her mother Genevieve Eldora Larsen of Washburn are her daughter Vicky Marie Helstrom, and fiancé Blake G.L. Kirby and her children Kasey Jane and Sara Beth,  Daigle Helstrom, all of Williamsburg, NB Canada, her  son Dwight Gordon Helstrom Jr., his wife Stephanie and their children Carl Gordon and Anna Grace Helstrom all of Hudson. A special friend Michele Desfosses, whom Ada thought of as a sister, of Caribou. Together, they shared many trips to Bangor for treatments and shopping. As long as her health allowed there was always an adventure to be had, leaving precious memories. Ada is also survived her children’s father, Dwight Gordon Helstrom Sr. with whom she raised their family in Mapleton, a nephew and his wife William and Kathy Larsen of Houlton and a lifetime family friend, Rena Kearney of Mars Hill. Ada is know reunited with her father and a brother Montford Wilmont Larsen in the flower gardens of Heaven.
    Ada will always be remembered as a caring helpful person, and that spirit will live on as she donated the gift of sight through organ donation so that someone may see again.
    Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until time of services. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home with Rev. Bruce Blakney, officiating. Interment will be in the Crouseville Cemetery.
