To the editor:
As a small business owner, I struggle every year to find any relief after the tax man is done with me. I am an unenrolled voter. Not a Republican, not a Democrat. I always vote for the best candidate, not personalities or parties. After studying both candidates, I see only one choice for Maine’s Second Congressional District. John Frary has spent three-plus decades inspiring young adults to think for themselves. His opponent Mike Michaud has spent three decades doing exactly as he has been told by the AFL-CIO, Sen. John Martin from Eagle Lake, and Rep. Nancy Pelosi from San Francisco.
If you think rural Maine should be represented by someone with the ability to think for themselves, I urge you to join with me in supporting Professor John Frary for Congress.
Michaud already has a paper union pension and a state of Maine legislative pension. Do we need to give him a federal pension too? If you think Maine has moved in the right direction over the past 20 years, please send Mr. Michaud back to Washington, but if you think we’ve been moving in the wrong direction you must vote for the good professor.
As a laundromat owner, I speak frequently with Maine’s poor, working poor and middle class. Things are not getting better. It’s time for new representation in our nation’s capitol. It’s time for the forklift to retire back to beautiful downtown Millinocket.
