Gagnon, June H., 88, Fort Fairfield; in Presque Isle, June 30, 2008. Private interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield at a later date. Arrangements in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.     Fort Fairfield & Presque Isle – June H. Gagnon, 88, passed away Monday evening, June 30, 2008, at her Presque Isle residence. She was born June 1, 1920, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Tom E. and Sarah (Burns) Hacker.  Image
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her husband, Theodore F. “Ted” Gagnon on August 18, 1990; three brothers, Jerre, Tom B. (Bob) and Richard Hacker; one sister, Mary Hacker; one beloved nephew, Jerre F. Hacker; one beloved niece, Nancy Cowling. She will be missed and remembered by her son, Tom E. Gagnon and his wife Sandy of Presque Isle; three daughters and their spouses, Heidi A. and Alton Bruce of Fort Fairfield, Trudy and Henry Gorneault of Presque Isle, Laurie and Duane Edgecomb of Hollywood, Maryland; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Audrey Hacker of Kissimmee, Florida; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Gorneault, TJ Gorneault, Sarah Gorneault, Julea Gorneault, Tom Gorneault, Byron Edgecomb, Erica Edgecomb Wible, Richard Langley II, Aaron Langley, Ashlea Bruce Blais, James Bruce, Adam Bruce, Jared Bruce, Melanie Adams Stewart and Beth Deeves Williams; her dearly loved great- grandchildren, Lucy June Wible, Lydia Gorneault, Kassidy Gorneault, Carter Bruce, Michael Bruce, Alexander Bruce, Sophia Bruce, Joshua Bruce, Trey Stewart, Meredith Stewart, Grant Stewart, Jacob Williams and Taylor Williams; several nieces and nephews.
    Friends called Wednesday, July 2, 2008, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A service celebrating June’s life was conducted Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 166 Main Street, Fort Fairfield with the Rev. Dr. Robert Smith officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the St. Paul’s Parish Hall immediately following the memorial service. Private interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield at a later date. Those who choose may contribute in memory of Mrs. Gagnon to the charity or organization of their choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
