My menagerie has shriveled to a few gold finch and the red polls. Have seen one deer in the past two weeks and that happened while my niece was here. She was very pleased to spot the deer while sitting by the picture window when the doe came out of the woods. Ran out with some old bread I had and the next morning it was gone. Unfortunately, it rained about all the time she was here but we did get in some shopping and ate out every day, usually meeting old friends and having a mini-reunion with them. My garden is growing pretty good — even have two small tomatoes on one plant. I am still seeing the black cat in the barn and he keeps busy trying to get my birds. Had a few pigeons in my front yard but, they were soon sent flying by my neighbors little cat as he was determined to try and get them all. Thank heaven they haven’t been back.
