The Maine Junior Golf Tour is now in northern part of the state. For the last 12 years, the tour has been held in the southern part of the state, but with the rising cost of fuel has made adjustments to their schedule.
Competition in the junior event is divided into three age groups, 12 and under; 13-14 and 15-17 playing 18 holes of golf.
The Maine Junior Golf Tour North has scheduled five tournaments in Aroostook County, with the first one on Monday, June 30 at the Aroostook Valley Country Club, with the second one to be held in Presque Isle on July 9.
Junior players will finish out their northern tournament in Houlton on July 21 and in Mars Hill on July 28.
