Aroostook Republican photo/Brandon AdamsThird-grade students from Teague Park were recent guests of the Caribou High School Future Farmers of America. During their visit students had a chance to explore the Agricultural Shop, made friends with some sheep and pigs, toured a giant plant cell and were treated to homemade ice cream and french fries made by FFA members.
Upon arriving at the Ag Shop, the young students got a chance to pet some sheep and pigs. Following the animals, the visitors ventured out to the green sprout building, where they were treated to a full tour of a giant plant cell, created by two officers from the Caribou High School FFA.
Once the students had completed the plant cell tour, they next got to visit the greenhouse, where they were each given their own bean sprout.
The visit didn’t end there however, as the young potential farmers were surprised by being treated to homemade French fries and ice cream, made by the Future Farmers of America at Caribou High School.
