PRESQUE ISLE – The February meeting of Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Saturday the ninth at 10 a.m. at the home of Paula Flora. Anne LaPlante served as co-hostess. President Emily Knight called the meeting to order and sisters stood for the opening ritual. During the business meeting, sisters voted to make donations to Washburn District High School Class of 2008 Project Graduation and to the American Cancer Society. The daffodils ordered from the Cancer Society will be delivered to the Presque Isle Nursing Home to be given to residents.
Following the business meeting, sisters enjoyed brunch prepared by Paula Flora, Anne LaPlante, Winnie Schmidt, Bernice Belanger, and Jane James. The meeting concluded with a Valentine Party that consisted of a version of a Yankee Swap.
