Woodland – Madeline L. Albert, 93, died January 24, 2008, at Bangor following a brief illness. She was born in Caribou October 1, 1914, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Bacon) Dickinson. Mrs. Albert was a loving a devoted wife and mother and was the cook at Woodland school for a number of years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland where she was a member of the Ladies Mission Circle. She was also a member of the Perham Friendship Club as well as the former Colby Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband Maurice Albert of Woodland are one son and daughter-in-law Philip and Darlene Caverhill of Caribou; three daughters and two sons-in-law Joyce Landeen of New Sweden, Barbara and Wayne Conroy of Woodland and Connie and Steve Chapman of Presque Isle; three sisters Mary Sirois of New Sweden, Ruth Norbeck of Caribou and Gertrude Erickson of Worcester, MA; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her first husband Lloyd Caverhill in 1959 and a son Wendell Caverhill in 1996.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 7-9 p.m., Sunday. Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2008, from the First Baptist Church of Woodland with Pastor Ron Rosser, officiating. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
