CARIBOU – The Caribou Middle School boys’ eighth grade basketball team finished their regular season with a one-point difference victory over Madawaska on Tuesday, Jan. 15th, 58-57. The Vikings came up with diligent ball control offense as they held off the Owls in a double overtime win. Madawaska stepped in twice and tied the game at the end of regulation and the first overtime with long three-pointers. However, Caribou controlled the ball and pulled out the win.
Chad Caverhill poured in 26 points, including six three-point baskets. Caleb Chapman added 16.
The Vikings’ full-court press led to a win over Fort Fairfield, 61-50.
Caverhill poured in 20 points and Chapman added 15 to lead scoring.
