Worthley, Ronald H., 64, January 18, 2008.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the spring in the Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton.
    Houlton – Ronald "Pop Pop" H. Worthley, 64, passed away on January 18, 2008, after a long courageous battle with esophageal cancer with his fiancé at his side. He was born March 10, 1943, at Houlton, the son of the late Burchard and Phyllis (Horton) Worthley.
    Ron was employed at Louisiana Pacific for 23 years until the time of his illness. He enjoyed spending time at camp, 4-wheeling, ice fishing and metal detecting. He was an avid Red Sox fan and a fan of any team that was beating the Yankees.
    Ron is survived by his fiancé of 21 years, Freida Bither; one son, Jonathan Worthley and his wife Jana all of Houlton; three daughters, Cathie Hemingway and her husband Jim of Hodgdon, Lorie Schools and her husband Randy of Littleton, Julie Winslow and her husband Kevin of Houlton; sadly missed by twelve grandchildren, Jacob and Abigail Worthley, Jordan, Sara and Jessica Hemingway, Ryan, Isaac and Alyssa Schools, Olivia, Cole and Austin Winslow, Jeremy Fitzpatrick; one brother, Dana Worthley of Houlton; special family includes cousins, Diane and Terry Tingley, Terry Tingley, Jr., Sharon and Ernie Lowell, Susan and Dick St. Onge all of Saco; special friends, Heidi and David Fitzpatrick, Steve and Deanna Estabrook, Joy and Mike Ivey all of Houlton, Dale and Ruth White of Presque Isle; two nieces, Darcie Oliver and Chantelle Holmes; and one nephew Andrew Worthley.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home, 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services were held at the funeral home 11 a.m. Monday with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating.
