George Stubbs, seated, was the winner of 100 gallons of fuel oil, in a drawing to benefit the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen in Caribou. Purchased with the proceeds were chairs for the soup kitchen in memory of Rickey Fortin, who was killed in an accident in November. Pictured from left are Brenda Stubbs, who donated the fuel oil, Betty Stubbs, wife of the winner, Anthony Griffin, a ticket seller, Shirley Fortin, manager of the soup kitchen and the deceased’s mother, and Judy Corrow, Caribou city clerk, who drew the winning ticket.
