ROTARY SPEAKER — The Jan. 14 meeting of the Houlton Rotary Club included special speaker Nancy Chandler, center. Chandler is vice president and outreach chairperson for the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum. The goal, said Chandler, is to transform the lives of children and families by awakening their senses to imagination and discovery; the museum would include interactive exhibits that allow visitors to explore science, nature, heritage and humanities. The museum has been a work in progress since July 2006 and the non-profit group has recently secured land for the museum on Glenn Street in Caribou.
