Class plans Supper and Auction Fun Night

 Project Graduation
The members of the Project Graduation Committee for the Class of 2008 will be holding a special spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Jan. 19, with the dinner being served starting at 5 p.m., followed by an auction starting at 6:30 p.m.

The supper includes spaghetti, salad, rolls, coffee, tea, sodas and a variety of delicious desserts. The auction items are donations from area businesses, families, donations of gift cards, home décor items, potatoes, beauty salon items and even an ice cream cake. There are also plans for a special Cake Auction. Tickets for the evening are available prior to the event from any senior class member as well as at the door. Tickets are $3 for ages 12 and under, $5 for adults and $15 for a family ticket. The senior class of 2008 thank everyone for their support in advance. The auctioneer for the evening’s event is local farmer, Tom Drew, of Woodland. His auctioneering talents are fantastic, and a fun night will be enjoyed by all.
Proceeds from this event will go toward the annual class trip. Once again, the destination chosen is Boston. They will get to ride through the streets of Boston in a ‘duck,’ and the class will be touring the Museum of Science, the Boston Aquarium, taking a trip to the Hard Rock Café (the bus line also included a T-shirt from the café) and Quincy Market. The seniors also opted for a Duck Tour of the Charles River and some favorite spots throughout Boston including the gold-domed State House, Bunker Hill, Copley Square, the Big Dig and much more. They are especially looking forward to the ‘splashdown’ as their ‘con-duck-tor ‘drives the WWII Duck (an amphibious landing vehicle) into the river, continuing the famous tour.
This has been a class favorite trip for several years. Thanks to the generosity of Cyr Bus Lines who gave the group an extra special rate, they’ll get to spend a second day in Boston and get to see the Blue Man Group and go to a Six Flags amusement park. Some of these students have never left Aroostook, and all are really looking forward to this trip.
