College Goal Sunday at University College Houlton

Maine’s fifth College Goal Sunday will be on Jan. 27 at locations across Maine, including at University College at Houlton.
    College Goal Sunday is a free, nationwide program that helps students and families fill out the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the form that’s required to apply for financial assistance for higher education. Financial aid professionals will be available to help  and to answer any questions.
All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win one of twenty $500 scholarships from FAME, the Finance Authority of Maine. Scholarship winners will be notified by FAME directly, and payment of scholarship funds will be made to the college during the fall 2008 semester.
Students and their parents should bring their most recent tax information, such as completed IRS 1040 tax returns, W-2 statements and other income and benefits information.
