Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club to meet
    The Houlton Rifle and Pistol Club will hold their semi-annual potluck supper on Dec. 2 at the HRPC range, starting at 6 p.m. All members and their guests are invited to attend.
    Following the supper, there will be a short monthly meeting, giving members a chance to sign up for the Winter Shoot, a 16-week event culminating in the awarding of prizes at the spring pot luck supper.
     The monthly meeting will be followed by recreational target practice.

Pick up hockey
for Adults
    Adults can play pick up hockey at 9 a.m. each Sunday at the Millar Civic Center. Players must be 18 years of age or older.  Please bring a white and dark colored jersey.

Cottle memorial hoop tourney slated
    The first Brandon Cottle Memorial Basketball Tournament will be held Sunday, Dec. 9 at the Houlton Recreation Department.
    Former high school basketball players, along with the rec “legends” will be on hand to compete in the 5-on-5 double elimination tourney, which starts at 8 a.m.
    Tickets will be $7, and can be purchased in advance. There will be a raffle, door prizes and snacks during the event. All proceeds to benefit the Brandon Cottle Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Baseball Fantasy Trip
    The Alfond Youth Center has announced its seventh annual Baseball Fantasy Trip from June 16-21.
    The tentative schedule includes three games in Philadelphia with the world champion Boston Red Sox, a game with either the Mets or the Yankees, and a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

National Baseball Teams being formed
    Coast to Coast Baseball is inviting amateur baseball players between the ages of 13-15 and 16-18 to learn more abut teams forming in the U.S. to play against Puerto Rico, Australia and Hawaii.
    Over the last eight years, Coast to Coast Baseball has taken nearly 1,500 players from 46 different states to compete around the world. Their alumni are playing entry level college baseball and even professionally.
