The Bureau of Motor Vehicles Mobile License Unit will not be in Houlton on Nov. 22 due to the extended holiday weekend. However, the unit will be available on Dec. 20th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. The Mobile Unit is located in the Houlton Fire Department, 99 Military St.
Applicants needing an extension on their licenses may contact License Services at 624-9000 Ext: 52114 or may write to the Secretary of State, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, State House Station #29, 101 Hospital St., Augusta, ME 04333. Applicants who have an active digital license or digital Maine ID card may be eligible to renew their license online at: www.maine.gov/sos/bmv.
