  ImageImage Caribou – Leonard Lagasse, 82, died November 12, 2007 at Presque Isle. He was born in Madawaska May 24, 1925 the son of the late Joseph and Suzanne (Sirois) Lagasse. Mr. Lagasse served with the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the Lister-Knowlton Post 9389 VFW. He was also employed by Aroostook Roofing and Sheet Metal for over 50 years. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
    He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Lisa Lagasse of Acworth, GA., nine daughters and three sons-in-law Gloria Katkavich and Marlene Lagasse both of Caribou, Carolyn Ellis of Dover, N.H., Rena Lagasse of Caribou, Debbie Mahar of Skowhegan, Sandra and Jeff Cochran, Pamela and Tom Morin and Karen Lagasse all of Caribou, and Denise and Joel Stetkis of Canaan, one brother Roger Lagasse of San Antonio, TX, two sisters Irma Ouellette of Van Buren and Marie Johnson of Caribou, thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mr. Lagasse was predeceased by his wife Annette (Nadeau) Lagasse in 1998 and a daughter Becky Holmes. He will be sadly missed by his beloved pets, who always kept his lap warm, Taz, his best friend and dog, and his beautiful white cat Boo.  
    A funeral mass was celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond, officiating. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
