Elwood Shannon

Shannon, Elwood, 64, November 15, 2007.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery.     Houlton – Elwood Shannon, 64, died November 15, 2007, at a Cambridge, MA. Hospital. He was born June 25, 1943, at Houlton, the son of Lawrence D. And Irene P. (Faulkner) Shannon.
    Elwood owned and operated Shannon Repair for over 26 years and was a well respected mechanic that could fix just about anything. He had a great love for antique trucks and enjoyed restoring them. Four wheeling was fun, but he took great pride in landscaping, ask any of his neighbors no one could take care of a lawn like Elwood.
    Elwood is survived by his wife, Donna (Cyr) Shannon; his son, Danny Shannon; two daughters, Theresa Long and her husband Leigh all of Houlton, Tina Bouchard of New Castle; five grandchildren, Dawn Simmon and her husband Gary, Anthony Long, Brittany Long, Desireé Shannon, Dynel Shannon; two sisters, Barbara Lindsay of FL, Joyce Goodijohn of FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother James.
    Funeral services were held at the Houlton Wesleyan Church Monday, Nov. 19th with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Elwood’s memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, ME 04730.
