Caribou Middle School announces students of the month

    Caribou Middle School recently announced students of the month for the months of September and October. Winners of student of the month in September are as follows:    Gavin Levesque, a fifth-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected, as student of the month, Sur-“Five”-Or Team, by Mr. Barnes, Mrs. Barnes and Mrs. Hebert, for standing out as a very compassionate young man, according to Hebert. Levesque is described as outgoing, friendly and engaging. Hebert also mentioned that Levesque often tells endearing stories about his family, especially his little brother Luc. Levesque is also very artistic, spending much of his free time drawing. Levesque is always willing to help a classmate and the first to offer words of encouragement when someone needs them, according to Hebert. Levesque is also a Student Council Representative for Room 110.
    Alissa Irving, a sixth-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as student of the month, “Six-Ceeders” by Mrs. Bouchard, Mr. Pelletier and Mrs. Dionne. She is the daughter of Kim and Jeff Irving and is a highest honor student, who continuously steps up to the plate. Irving is considerate and respectful of her classmates and teachers. She is a member of the Caribou Middle School cross country team and also a member of the Maine Dance Academy.
    McKenzie Beaulieu, a sixth-grader at Caribou Middle School  was selected as the W.O.W.S. student of the month for September. She was selected by Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Holmes. Beaulieu is described as bringing “sunshine, hard work and a zest for learning” into the classroom. She is outstanding academically and is an inspiration to her classmates, always ready to lend a helping hand or word of encouragement, according to her teachers. Beaulieu also skates in her free time, both at the Forum where she takes part in the annual performance and on her grandfather’s pond. Beaulieu is also an excellent writer and has won awards for her photography and artwork.
    Sara Huston, a seventh-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as the September student of the month, STAR Team, by Mrs. Rhinebolt and Mr. Thompson. Huston is described as an exemplary student who is always willing to offer a helping hand to fellow students and teachers, with a perpetual smile on her face and a pleasant personality. Huston is on the track and tennis teams at the middle school and also takes part in Little League, Girl Scouts, Rec. Baseball, Rec. Softball and Rec. Tennis outside of school. She also enjoys keeping up with the New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers.
    Emma Duplissie-Cyr, a seventh-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as student of the month, S.W.A.T. Team, by Mr. Perreault, Mrs. Curtis and Ms. Richardson for her tremendous positive attitude, and for being a hard worker. Duplissie-Cyr is very kind to everyone, and is highly respected by her peers. She is described as being a real leader in the school through her actions and her respectful personality.
    Katie Keaton, an eighth-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as student of the month for September by Mrs. Dow, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia, Mrs. Sleeper and Ms. Cyr. She is very involved in extracurricular activities, as she is on the girls’ soccer team and was also on the basketball and tennis teams. She has also participated in band and chorus during her middle school career. She is viewed by her teachers as courteous and helpful.
    Marc Sturzl, an eighth-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as September student of the month by Mrs. Dow, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia, Mrs. Sleeper and Ms. Cyr. He is described as being very conscientious about his schoolwork and always willing to lend a helping hand to others in the class. He participates in Student Organization and plays trumpet in the band. He is also involved with the baseball team and is an active member of the cross country running and skiing teams.
    Hannah Graham, a fifth-grader at Caribou Middle School was selected as student of the month, Brainiacs Team by Mrs. Levasseur and Mrs. Ouellette. She recently moved to Caribou and has shown herself to be a very conscientious student who works diligently to attain her goals, which includes learning French. She plays the trumpet in the band, is a student representative, and also plays piano and enjoys participating in soccer. She is often seen helping her peers and is a kind person who enjoys being around others.
    Students of the month for the month of October are as follows:
    Matthew Theriault was named as the “W.O.W.S.” student of the month for October, for his positive attitude. According to his teachers, he loves science, math and social studies. They have found him to be exceptional, responsible and very talented.
    Adam Flynn was named to the “STAR Team” as a student of the month for October at Caribou Middle School for his great sense of humor, as well as the pride he takes in his work, and his willingness to lend a helping hand around the classroom when called upon. Flynn takes part in soccer, cross-country, skiing and also plays in the band.
    Kjetil Rossignol was selected as an eighth grade student of the month for October, due to the high standards he sets for himself both in and out of the classroom, which have made him a role model for other students at Caribou Middle School. He is conscientious about his schoolwork and shows respect to fellow classmates, teachers and administration. Rossignol is involved with the baketball and baseball teams, drama club, band and the eighth grade leadership team.
    Dominique Hessert was named to the “S.W.A.T. Team” as student of the month for October. According to her teachers, her continued presence on the honor roll reflects her strong work ethic and her commitment to learning. She is a member of the cross-country team and plays in the band. According to her teachers, she is both cooperative and kind to all she meets.
    Ethan Caron was named to the “Six-Ceeders,” as a student of the month for October. According to Caron’s teachers he is considerate and respectful toward his peers and teachers, and is always willing to step up to help when called upon. He sets high academic standards for himself and demonstrates the qualities of an outstanding role model. He participates in band and is a member of student organization.
    Mariella Marte was named to the “Sur-five-ors Team” student of the month for October for always being prepared for class and always giving 100 percent in her class work. Her teachers appreciate her sense of humor and positive attitude, and say that she has proven herself to be a trustworthy, loyal friend, who always has a smile on her face.
    Erin Patton was named to the “Brainiacs Team” students of the month for October for her involvement at Caribou Middle School. She is an honor roll student, a homeroom representative and participates in strings and chorus. She is described as kind, caring and helpful to her classmates and is well respected by her peers and teachers.
    Demare Doody-Corriveau was named as an eighth-grade student of the month for October for her hard work, and willingness to lend a helping hand to peers and teachers in need. She is an honor roll student and a member of the eighth grade leadership team, yearbook staff and the civil rights team. She recently managed the girl’s soccer team and was a very valuable member of the team.
