Houlton, Presque Isle post offices rates high

    United States Post Offices in Houlton and Presque Isle rated high in a formal survey by the Gallup Organization.
    According to a Gallup, customers rate postal employees at each office worthy of the coveted 5-Star Customer Service Award for efficiency and delivery consistency. Houlton and Presque Isle are among just 24 to be honored among Maine’s 423 Post Offices.
    “I have a team of 28 outstanding employees who understand the importance of good customer service and on-time delivery,” said Houlton Postmaster Leigh Cummings.
    “Being recognized by your customers is a great honor,” Post Office Operations Manager Susan Mills said. “Providing them with excellent service is what our job is all about.”
     According to Gallup’s survey, Houlton and Presque Isle clerks worked efficiently, valued customers’ time, held their waiting time in line to under five minutes, and provided all the information needed for customers to complete their tasks. Letter carriers delivered mail to the correct address at about the same time every day.
    The Postal Service will award all Houlton and Presque Isle Post Office employees with service pins symbolizing their commitment to their customers.
