TRICK OR TREAT — These young helpers joined with Patten Woman’s Club in the club’s trick-or-treat for UNICEF. Club members and other volunteers went door-to-door with the Girl Scouts and Elementary students.

It was a very chilly day, but everybody had a great time and enjoyed the hot chocolate that was served afterwards at the Methodist Church. The club would like to express appreciation to all their volunteers and for all the donations received which will be send to UNICEF to help children in need.
The Girl Scouts also decorated pumpkins, some of which were displayed at Richardson’s Hardware in Patten last week. The rest are going to be displayed this week at the Wilderness Variety Store in Shin Pond. All are encouraged to vote for their favorite pumpkin and the donations will go to UNICEF.
