Image    Presque Isle and Fort Fairfield – Beatrice A. Wasson, 86, wife of the late Vaughn B. Wasson, died Sunday morning, September 23, 2007 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born February 23, 1921 at Woodland, Aroostook County, the daughter of Edward and Julia (Searles) Patterson.
    Beatrice attended local schools and was married to Vaughn B. Wasson in 1939. She had been employed at the A & P Processing Plant in Fort Fairfield for fifteen years and the Fort Fairfield Community General Hospital for over twenty years. She attended the Fort Fairfield Pentecostal Church, the Presque Isle Church of Jesus and most recently the Woodland Pentecostal Church, and had been a resident of Presque Isle for twenty-two years.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wasson was predeceased by her husband on February 22, 1984; her son, Earl N. Wasson on May 4, 1974; four brothers, Fred, Basil, Sterling and Donnie Patterson; three sisters, Helen Little, Charlotte Patterson and Madeline Jordan. She is survived by one grandson, Sam Wasson and his wife Kim of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews.
    Friends called Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John Palmer officiating. Friends also called on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the interment service. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
