New to the Aroostook Football League this year is a junior varsity squad. In their first game on Sept. 15, this “5th quarter” game also saw the Knights emerge victorious over Howland. The junior varsity games follow the completion of all varsity contests. The objective in adding the junior varsity teams is to provide younger/less experienced players with a chance to play against opponents at their level.
The local sponsors, Cleary Law Office and County Yankee Grocer, each are represented on the varsity and junior varsity squads. During games against Howland and Milo and all 5th quarter games, the orange County Yankee Grocer jerseys are worn, while during varsity games against Presque Isle and Madawaska, the white Cleary Law Office jerseys are worn.
