Duncan, Flora (Cooper), 98, of Waltham, died August 27, 2007 at the Wingate of Sudbury. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, Waltham on Wednesday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Moutn Feake in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, August 29 from 12:00 to 1:00     WALTHAM – Flora (Cooper) Duncan, 98, of Waltham, died early Monday morning August 27th, 2007 at the Wingate of Sudbury. She was 98.
    Born in Masardis, Maine on September 8, 1908, daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Morse) Cooper, Mrs. Duncan as a young girl moved to Oxbow Plantation, Maine, living at the end of the road on Cooper Farm and attending a one-room schoolhouse.  
    The family moved to Presque Isle, Maine, where she attended and graduated from Presque Isle High School and was a member of the girls basketball team. Mrs. Duncan continued her education at Presque Isle General Hospital School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse.
    On October 10, 1931, she married the late David O. Duncan and enjoyed 67 years of marriage.   
    In 1956 she and her husband moved to Waltham, where she was a night Nurse Supervisor at the Waltham Hospital retiring in 1973.
    Flora was an avid Boston Celtic and Boston Red Sox fan all her life, enjoying watching them on television. She was a long time member of the Trinity Church formerly First Congregational Church of Waltham.  
    She is survived by her daughter Sandra J. Everett of Marlborough, her brother Curtis Cooper of Stockholm, Maine, and her grandsons David and Marc Spencer. In addition she is survived by 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and many nieces & nephews.
    Beloved mother of the late David Roger Duncan and sister of the late Izetta Betty Reed.  
    A Funeral Service in celebration of her life will be held in the Chapel of  Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Wednesday afternoon August 29th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake in Waltham. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home prior to the service on Wednesday August 29th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
