Grand Forks, ND – Elizabeth B. Fritz, 82, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2007 in Valley Eldercare Center, Grand Forks.
Elizabeth B. Bouchard “Helen Elizabeth Bouchard” was born May 2, 1924 in Presque Isle, ME, the daughter of George A. and Leona (Moreau) Bouchard. She was raised in Presque Isle and graduated from Presque Isle High School. Elizabeth married Johnnie Fritz on July 17, 1948 in Presque Isle. Following their marriage, they resided in Presque Isle until moving to Grand Forks in 1962. She was employed with Piggly Wiggly Grocery in Grand Forks.
She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crafts, especially ceramics, needle point and crocheting. Also, she enjoyed cooking and reading novels. Elizabeth was a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She is survived by, a daughter, Teresa Fritz, Vista, CA; sons, Martin (Christine), Woodstock, GA and Andrew (Joanne), Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Michael and Sean and a brother, Adrian (Lena) Bouchard, Presque Isle, ME.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie; a son, Mark Louis Fritz; her parents; brothers, The Rev. Dr. John Louis Bouchard, George B. Bouchard, Jr. and Alfred Bouchard.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Thursday.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
