PRESQUE ISLE – County Physical Therapy, LLC, has announced it will reopen its fitness center at its new location, 5 North St., Tuesday, Sept. 4, the day after Labor Day. CPT has been seeing patients at that clinic location since June, but renovation of the fitness center had continued until last week.    “We want to thank our loyal fitness members for their patience,” said CPT General Manager Richard Ezzy. “The renovation was slowed by transition issues with the previous tenant, but we are now ready to go.”
The new fitness area will feature a new exercise floor, some new equipment, and expanded locker rooms.
When the fitness center reopens, the hours of operation will be from 5 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m.-noon Saturday.
“We changed our opening in the morning to 5 a.m. instead of 6 a.m.,” said Ezzy. “We had many members request this change, and this should accommodate those who want to get an early start on their exercise.”
CPT will also feature more group classes in response to client demand. In addition to spin cycling classes, which have been very popular, CPT expects to add yoga, core stability, and range of motion classes.
CPT will be having an open house Saturday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to showcase the new facility. The public is invited to tour the new clinic and fitness center, meet the therapists, trainers, and all the staff, and ask questions about physical therapy and fitness. There will be special offers for fitness memberships, as well as healthy refreshments and door prizes.
“Since moving to this location in June, the reaction of our patients has been super,” said CPT-Presque Isle Clinic Manager Paul Marquis. “People have commented on the expanded space, private exam rooms, and even the better parking. It has proven to be more convenient and comfortable for both our patients and our staff.”
County Physical Therapy, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, has locations in Caribou, Houlton, Fort Kent, and Madawaska in addition to the new clinic in Presque Isle. Along with physical therapy, occupational therapy and the many specialized rehab programs, CPT Fitness Centers located in Caribou, Presque Isle, and Fort Kent are open to the general public.
