Owners of Mapleton Lunch presented plaque

    THE MAPLETON, Castle Hill and Chapman Fire Department presented a plaque to the owners of Mapleton Lunch in recognition of the support the restaurant provided to the department fund-raising for a set of rescue tools (hydraulic extrication equipment). Bonnie Robbins and Chickie Adams opened for special Sunday breakfast three different times in the last year. Members of the department helped out in the kitchen and waited tables in exchange for tip donations. With the donations from these breakfasts and raffles and private donations, the department was able to raise just over $5,000 to put towards the purchase.
