FORT KENT, Maine – “Drawing Marathon for Family and Friends” is a free, drop-in event for children, teens, parents, seniors, family and friends held at Artist At Work, the studio of Therese Provenzano. Artist At Work is open for extended hours, where family and friends are invited to collaborate, circulate, and mingle while immersed in various drawing activities. The marathon is open to all ages and for all communities of Aroostook County.
Provenzano, a professional artist and her assistant, Christine Roy, will encourage and lead activities that relate to drawings in progress. Participants can also work independently. All levels of skill, and particularly those who have never drawn before, are strongly encouraged to attend. Drawing materials, snacks and refreshments are provided as long as they last. Drop in at your convenience. You may occupy an easel for an hour or longer depending if there is a waiting list. The event is limited to space occupancy.
The marathon began at 10 a.m. Monday, June 25 and ends at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 8. Artist At Work will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. each day of the marathon. Artist At Work is located across the street from McDonald’s and next to Forgotten Treasures in Fort Kent.

She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Philadelphia College of Art and a Three Year Certificate of Completion in the Fine Arts from the National Academy of Design School of the Fine Arts. In 2008, Roy will have completed her studies in art and art education at UMPI.
