Bishop siblings graduate
Frank H. Bishop, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Bishop Sr. of Presque Isle, graduated cum laude from the University of Maine Law School in Portland. He received his B.A. degree from Colgate University and an M.A. degree from the University of Maine. Frank has joined the law firm of Pierce Atwood in Portland.
    Bradford H. Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop, Sr. of Presque Isle, received his M.A. degree summa cum laude from Fordham University in New York City. Brad is a graduate of James Madison University and this fall he will enter a doctoral program in American Politics at Duke University.
Marigan F. Bishop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop, Sr., received her B.A. degree with honors in History from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire. While at Franklin Pierce College, Marigan was selected to participate in the mock peace talks concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict in Washington, D.C. In her senior year, Marigan was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
Davis named to Dean’s List
    BIDDEFORD/PORTLAND – Betsy Davis, daughter of Bob and Kathie Davis of Presque Isle has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2007 spring semester at the University of New England.
Dean’s List students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
A 2004 graduate of Presque Isle High School, Davis is a major in occupational therapy. She is also actively involved at the University in the Pi Theta Epsilon Honor Society.
Coffin named Presidential Scholar
    POTSDAM, N.Y. – Peter B. Coffin of Presque Isle was recently named a Presidential Scholar at Clarkson University. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum of 3.80 grade-point average (GPA) and carry at least 14 credit hours.
Coffin, a sophomore, is studying Aeronautical Engineering.
