SCATV plans three-day event June 22, 23 and 24

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Star City ATV Club will be hosting its Ultimate ATV Event on June 22, 23 and 24. Festivities this year include the Poker Run with over $1,000 in cash prizes, a food drive to benefit Catholic Charities of Maine, a chicken barbecue, nightly bonfires with musical entertainment and cookouts.

Organizers expect over 500 ATVs to attend this year’s event. Income generated from the influx of ATV enthusiasts will benefit local businesses, as riders visit local eateries, shop at local businesses and stay at area hotels and motels.
Income for area establishments from the three days of fun is expected to exceed $500,000 according to club officials.
Last year’s event had participants from as far away as Pennsylvania and Connecticut, as well as visitors from southern Maine.
This year, the club expects an even larger group, with rides planned for all three days.
Rides will be organized for those who enjoy a slower pace, as well as those who like a faster ride.
Trips are planned for rides north of Presque Isle and south of the city.
