ROBERT LEE THOMAS – Mapleton – A committal service for Robert Lee Thomas will be held on June 30, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Southside Cemetery in Mapleton.

NEW LONDON, CT – Robert Lee Thomas, 70, of 173 Garfield Ave., New London, CT, went home to be with his Lord on May 9, 2007.  He was the son of Harvey and Elena (Green) Thomas of Mapleton, ME.
  He was the beloved husband of Claudette (Sarcione) Thomas for 48 wonderful years.  They formerly resided on the Grendall Road, in Mapleton, ME.  He was the loving father of Linda & husband James Perry of New London, CT.  He was a grandfather loved by 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Kristen, Timothy & David Perry of New London, CT, and Matthew Thomas of the US Army stationed in OK.
Brother of Clifton, Earl, and Wyona.
    He served his country in the US Army, ASA branch, from 1956 – 1959, stationed at Forth Devens, MA.
    He was co-owner of R.L. Thomas MFG. of Presque Isle, ME.  He enjoyed looking for ways to improve products for the company.
    He was predeceased by his son Timothy of Mapleton, ME, his parents, brother, Frank, 3 sisters, Christine, Dorothea, & Linda Ann.
    A Going Home Celebration will be held at Covenant Temple Church in Quaker Hill, CT, on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 1:00 pm.  If desired, donations may be made in his memory to : Covenant Temple, 36 Huntsbrook Rd., Quaker Hill, CT  06375.  Burial will be at Southside Cemetary, Mapleton, ME at a later date.
