PRESQUE ISLE – Applications are now available for non-profit groups and organizations to request funds to be raised at the 60th annual Presque Isle Rotary Club Auction to be held Nov. 27-29, 2007.

The Presque Isle Rotary Club has over 100 members and works as a global network of community volunteers.
The slogan of Rotary is “Service Above Self,” and the club seeks to maintain this very important fund-raising service to support area agencies.
The deadline for submitting a completed application for funding consideration is April 13, 2007.
Applications are available from any Presque Isle Rotary Club member or from this year’s Auction Co-Chairs, Alton Hartt (764-4481) or Jane Towle (769-2900).
All requests will be reviewed and evaluated by the Presque Isle Rotary Club’s Board of Directors.
The Presque Isle Rotary Club maintains the right to reject any and all requests.
The Presque Isle Rotary Club has a long tradition within the greater central Aroostook area of raising funds from the 3-day auction event to support projects for the betterment of the community. Last year’s auction proceeds supported the Catholic Charities of Maine, Presque Isle Snowmobile Club, AMHC – ABC Academy, American Red Cross, Presque Isle Police Department, and Aroostook Agency on Aging.
Auction co-chairs Hartt and Towle, along with the PI Rotary Club as a whole, is in full planning mode and looking forward to another exciting auction this year.
The club could not successfully complete this enormous task without the support of donors, viewers, listeners, and bidders.
