No break for Novices

The MFX/Cary Medical Center Novice hockey team was hard at work over the school break with two games against neighboring Canadian teams.
   Sunday the Wildcats hosted Carleton 1, taking a 20-6 loss. With nine shots on goal though, the team proved they take only good shots.
Scoring for the team were Reece McDougall with four goals and Thomas Patenaude and Drenn Belmain with one each.
Goalie Heinz Schumacher faced 37 shots between the pipes for Presque Isle.
The previous weekend, the Novice team went on the road against Plaster Rock. McDougall scored both goals for Presque Isle in a 6-2 loss. Schumacher faced 25 shots while Presque Isle got 17 looks.
Assists in both games came from Sarah Beaulieu, Eric Benson, Devin Ireland, Gregory Jellison, Tyler Levesque and Isaac Madore.
Feb. 10, the Wildcats hosted Carleton 4. Benson scored his first goal with additional goals coming from Cooper Madore with three and Denny Young with two. Assists came from Beaulieu, Ireland, Jellison, Levesque, McDougall, Patenaude and Madore.
Schumacher faced 35 shots on goal and the Wildcats took 25 looks. Carleton took a 49-6 win.
