Youth ski results

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Quoggy Jo youth ski racing season kicked off last Sunday and several kids were on hand with their skis and snowboards in tow. The following are top finishers listed by age, place and time.
     Skiing: Boys ages 7-8: 1. Grant Stewart, 41.15; 2. Griffin Guerrette, 65-08; girls ages 9-10: 1. Angela Hallowell, 42.28; 2. Erin Ackerson, 48.09; boys ages 9-10: 1. Chris Carroll, 38.56; 2. John Freeman, 46.42; girls ages 11-12: 1. Chandler Guerrette, 39.97; 2. Megan Ireland, 40.04; 3. Kayla Girardin, 41.96; boys ages 11-12: 1. Thomas Freeman, 35.74; girls ages 13-14: 1. Chelsey Carroll, 36.86; 2. Christina Hallowell, 43,94; boys ages 13-14: 1. Christopher Farley, 46.88.
Snowboarding: girls ages 9-10: 1. Taylor Williams, 60.34; boys ages 9-10: 1. Drew Bates, 49.80; girls ages 11-12: 1. Meredith Stewart, 53.99; boys ages 11-12: 1. Adam Cyr, 50.75; boys ages 13-14: 1. Trey Stewart, 39.94.
Skiing and snowboarding races are held every Sunday at 1 p.m. Individuals must race three times to qualify for a trophy at the end of the season.
