Congratulations
Our congratulations go out to Willie Palmer who just graduated from Cornell University in December with a degree in animal science. While a Cornell, Willie was a member of Alpha Zeta fraternity. He also won the Cornell Traditions Award. He is currently working with Richard Perkins in Charleston. He is the son of Ausline Parmer and Kevin and Cindy Marquis. Great going, Willie!

Hospitalized
Word from Dana Farber Hospital in Boston on Darrell Page. Darrell is holding his own, some days better than others. He is, as of last Thursday, in the Cardiac Care Unit after suffering racing heart beats. Darrell is very weak and because he has been on a ventilator for several days it’s hard for him to swallow and eat now that that has been removed. Adeline and her daughter, Mary Ann Anderson, are staying at The Family Inn that is connected to the hospital. Keep the prayers going up for him.
Vera Shaw has returned home after spending a few days at The Aroostook Medical Center.

Sympathy
Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of 72-year-old Dena Turner Susee of Presque Isle who passed away at the Presque Isle Health Care Facility on Monday, Jan. 29. Dena was a graduate of Easton High School and worked as a home health care provider. She was a member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church in Easton and served on the board at Presque Isle Housing. Dena could knock the spots off a piano and loved to sing with the church. She loved her family and loved to fish. She was able to be at the Turner reunion held last Field Day but has had problems for some time with her heart. She leaves her son, Hugh Turner, wife, Linda, and two sons, Holden and Hunter, of Easton; and a daughter, Debbie Tibbetts, husband, Michael, also of Easton, and their children, Samantha McDonald of Modesto, Cali., and son, Lunden McDonald, and her son, Adam Tibbetts, of Easton. She also will be sadly missed by her twin brother, Dan Turner and his family; and four sisters, Grace Nasser of Fall River, Mass., Esther Turner of Houston, Texas,  Rita Lepovitz of Alvin, Texas and Phoebe Watters of Houston, Texas, and their families.  She also will be missed by  Dell’s wife, Mavis Turner, of Medway. She was predeceased by her brother, Dell and another brother, William. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, at her Pine Tree Church with Pastor Carlos daCruz officiating. Spring interment will be at Pine Tree Cemetery in Easton. Any donations in her memory may be made to the Pine Tree Baptist Church, 704 Houlton Road, Easton, ME 04740.
